Time zones and daylight saving

Australia has three time zones, and the clocks only change in some states. Pick where you are from to see who is ahead of you and who is behind.

Checked 16 October 2026. Your choice stays on your device.

Where are you from?

At your place: —

  • Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart NSW, Vic, ACT, Tas —
  • Brisbane Queensland —
  • Adelaide South Australia —
  • Darwin Northern Territory —
  • Perth Western Australia —
  • Broken Hill NSW, on Central time —
  • Lord Howe Island NSW, its own zone —

“Ahead” means their clock shows a later time than yours. Change the time above to plan a call, then tap Now to go back to the live time.
